So in response to the recent video that I had just posted, this post is going to be a more detailed review of the items that I have recently purchased. Lets get started!
These are probably my favorite from all of the items that I bought. Why you ask? Because I think these are really cool and interesting and I don’t have a color like it. Haha. These are the MAC Metal-X Cream Eyeshadows and the color that you see above is called Rusty. The color would best be described as an orange- brown shade, so it works well for ladies that have dark eyes. These cream eye shadows hold up just fine with a primer and without as well. They go for $20 each and honestly I think its worth the price. Im going to have to pay another visit to MAC so I can get a few more shades.
These are the Maybelline Dream Bouncy Blush in the shade Orchid Hush. I like to describe it as a cream to powder blush which works well for me seeing as I have oily prone skin. However, I will say that these blushes are very sheer so if you want alot of color pay off you will have to do about 2 or 3 layers for it to show up. The price point for these blushes are $7.99 so I think its money well spent.
Honestly, Im a huge sucker for mascara. I probably have 3 or 4 tubes of mascara lying around in my make up caddy. Which is okay with me because I love layering my mascara so it gives my lashes really big volume. However, with the L’Oreal Voluminous False Lashes mascara I can do all that with just one tube of mascara. Sweet! This mascara is especially designed to form fibers (or tubes basically) around each lash so the lashes can literally look like fake lashes. So, if your someone that hates applying false lashes, just use this mascara! It will defiantly save you some time in the morning. The price point of this mascara is $8.95.
These new cream eye shadows from Maybelline are really cool. When Im going out with friends I usually like to do a cream eye shadow first before I put powder eye shadows on top. I mean with the Color Tattoo cream eyeshadows they seem like just any old cream eye shadow but they work well without a primer. When I first tried these eye shadows out I had them on for about 4 hours and they didn’t crease. Its a really cool silvery shade that makes for a great base for a really good smokey eye. They come in 8 shades and they range from neutral shades to some really cool vibrant shades. You get alot in the pot for the price of $9.99 and also they are a cheaper version of the MAC paint pots.
The last two things that I got are nail products. My biggest pet peeve would probably be when my nail polish chips after a day and since then I have been on the hunt for a good base and top coat so my manicure can last longer than a day haha. So believe it or not I found these two at CVS and I didn’t have to break the bank! For the base coat that I got its called the Orly Rubberized base coat. What this does is it forms a sticky base so the nail color can literally stick to the base so it won’t chip. For the top coat that I got its called the Seche Vite and what this basically does is it makes the nail color dry quickly to avoid any smudges. Im glad I got these two items, when I do my nails now I would say that my manicure would last about 3 to 5 days. The price point for the Orly base coat is $10.00 which is kind of pricey but honestly I think its worth it. Also the price point of the top coat is $8.95 which isn’t bad and I think that it does its job perfectly.
